Meetings
I've never talked to anyone in any company who didn't think that meetings were too long, boring & frequent.Business meeting are often inconclusive and not well prepared.there is too much ideas & choices to be made.
You must narro them down befor the meeting so key points can be propely examined and logical decisions arrived at.
The meeting should have a specific agenda & it's up to the person who is calling and conducting the meeting to prepare it.
HERE IS A SAMPLE AGENDA:
Objective: to improve our cash position.
Approach: to sell or not to sell the uptown facility .
Subjects to be discussed;
1- uptown facility only marginally profitable, but there are prodpects for improvment.
2- buyer available now but at a depressed price.
3- sell now or wait and hope for increased profits and/or better price.
The are some meetings ofcourse , where the subjects under discussion are much broader where informality is the keynote.
